FAST-DOT consortium have accessed previously difficult to achieve wavelengths with SHG

Tuneable continuous wave green-to-red laser emission (between 567.7 nm and 629.1 nm) was demonstrated using second-harmonic generation in a PPKTP waveguide with a tuneable EC-QDL. The theoretically expected excellent wavelength tuning capabilities of QD-VECSELs with very large bandwidth has been demonstrated and confirmed at 1040, 1250, and 1180 nm wavelengths.

Using high-power intra-cavity continuous wave frequency conversion the FAST-DOT consortium have accessed previously difficult to achieve wavelengths from QD-VECSELs producing 2.5W orange (590 nm), 2W green (515 nm), 0.34W red (624 nm).
